Welcome to Sistrum Dance

In a busy world, with so many influences urging us to live in our heads, a bit of time to simply feel how our bodies feel can be valuable. Belly dance provides this opportunity.

I invite you to explore this site to find out more about belly dance and Calgary's Sistrum Dance company. I am Afsana, instructor and founder of Sistrum Dance. I offer several Types of Classes to meet a variety of different needs. I am available for Performances at birthday parties, weddings and all female parties. Photos of previous public performances, including Sistrum Dance recitals, are available in the Photo Galleries. Information about my dance experience is on the About Afsana page. All of these headings are on the side bar at the left, so they are available no matter where you are on the site.

P.S. In case you were curious, a sistrum is a percussion instrument used by the ancient Egyptians, especially in worship of Hathor, the goddess of dance.
